Scripture Showdown privacy policy

Effective October 15, 2026

Scripture Showdown is published by Wittenberg Digital for iPhone and Android. It's free to download from the App Store or Google Play, and a yearly subscription unlocks the game. There are no ads or accounts, and the game never asks for your name, email address, contacts or location.

The game doesn't connect to the internet, and on Android it doesn't even ask for internet access. Nothing you do in it is sent to us or to anyone else. To check your subscription, the game asks the App Store or Google Play on your phone, as described below.

Stays on your device

  • Your best score and solo stats, and which questions you've been dealt recently.
  • Your settings, such as sounds and timer length.

None of this is sent to us. Deleting the app deletes it. If your phone backs up app data to iCloud or your Google account, the backup can include it, stored under your account. We can't see it.

Using your device

  • Player names you type for pass-and-play are used only during that game and aren't saved.

The subscription

On iPhone and iPad, Apple sells and bills the subscription through the App Store, under your Apple Account. The game asks the App Store on your device whether your subscription is active. To cancel, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.

On Android, Google sells and bills the subscription through Google Play, under your Google account. The game asks Google Play on your device whether your subscription is active. To cancel, open the Google Play app and go to Payments & subscriptions.

We never receive your name, email address or payment details. Apple and Google give us only their standard sales reports.

What we don't do

  • We don't collect usage statistics, show ads or track you. The game contains no code from advertising or analytics companies.
  • We don't use your phone's advertising identifier, location, contacts, camera, microphone or photos.
  • We don't collect personal information from anyone, including children.

If you've chosen in your phone's settings to share diagnostics with app developers, Apple or Google may send us anonymous crash reports and usage totals for the game. That comes from your phone's settings, not from the game, and you can turn it off there.
